Former Leinster outhalf Cathal Marsh is the latest northern hemisphere star to join ambitious Major League Rugby (MLR) franchise Rugby United New York.
Marsh was released from his contract with Leinster at the end of last season, and will now make the trip across the Atlantic to play in the MLR, with their season set to get underway in January.
Rugby United New York have already signed up England international Ben Foden, and will compete in the MLR for the first time season having only recently been founded.
Tipperary man James Kennedy is the club’s founder, while former Ireland head coach Eddie O’Sullivan and winger Shane Horgan are on the board as advisors.
