Another day, another former All Black in trouble with the law.
Former All Blacks halfback Byron Kelleher has been found guilty of domestic assault and fined in a French court. Kelleher, who played 57 Tests for the All Blacks between 1999 and 2007, was fined €200 for the incident in Toulouse last June.
The 40-year-old had allegedly been drinking with friends and then was involved in an incident where a woman was attacked and a door damaged, L’Equipe reported at the time.
The latest court appearance continues a string of incidents involving high profile New Zealand rugby players in France.
Former All Blacks lock Ali Williams has been charged with purchasing cocaine over the weekend, while Dan Carter faces drink driving charges after being pulled over by police near the Champs Elysees two weeks ago.
