“I think his wife is safe.”
Wales and Australia put on one hell of a show this morning in what was probably the game of the 2019 Rugby World Cup so far.
The Welsh raced into a 23-8 lead at half-time but the Wallabies refused to back down, clawing back to within a point with less than ten minutes to go thanks to tries from Haylett-Petty and captain Michael Hooper.
But in the end, the Welsh came out on top 29-25. Michael Cheika wasn’t happy but the same can’t be said for Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones who was overcome with emotions after the game.
He was so overcome he landed a lovely kiss square on the lips of teammate George North that has everyone talking.
“I think his wife is safe.” Jones said after the game.
“But am I think we were obviously tight at the end and you share those moments with players – not always like that! But it is what it is!”
“I’m sure there’ll be some memes made out of it.”
Yes, there will Alun. Yes, there bloody well will.
🗣"Someone will make a meme out of this"
