England have suffered yet another crucial injury blow ahead of next month’s November internationals, with BBC Sport reporting flanker Chris Robshaw will miss the entire series after having surgery on his knee.
The former England captain joins a long list of absentees including Billy Vunipola, Joe Launchbury, Sam Simmonds, Dan Robson and Nathan Hughes – with Alex Lozowski also a doubt after being cited for two separate incidents in Saracens’ win over Glasgow.
Eddie Jones’ England play South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia next month, and it looks like they’ll have to take on the traditional southern hemisphere mega-powers minus a number of frontline internationals.
