Tigers bound.
England winger Jonny May is set to swap Gloucester for Leicester Tigers in a surprise move according to Gloucestershire Live.
The deal will see May bought out of the final year of his contract by Leicester, with lock Ed Slater set to move the other way. Gloucester have been reluctant to let May leave but are thought to be long-term admirers of 28-year-old former Leicester club captain Slater.
After offloading South African wing JP Pietersen and centre Peter Betham, Leicester now have room in their squad and budget to bring in reinforcements. 27-year-old May came through Gloucester’s academy and he has scored 62 tries in 138 appearances.
