England star set for Lions call-up as Ireland star emerges as major doubt

British and Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell is set to make at least one addition to his squad as cover for their training camp in Portugal next week.
According to The Times, England hooker Jamie George will link up with the Lions as cover for Dan Sheehan and Ronan Kelleher due to their involvement in next weekend’s URC Grand Final between Leinster and the Vodacom Bulls.
The report adds that Farrell may be forced to make several more additions to his squad for the game against Argentina due to a large cohort of his squad being involved in domestic finals.
In other squad news, The Irish Independent are reporting that Tadhg Furlong has emerged as a real doubt for the tour as he recovers from a calf injury.
Finlay Bealham is believed to be on standby after impressing during the Six Nations while filling in for Furlong.
