New man.
Head coach Eddie Jones this morning named his England squad for this summer’s tour of South Africa.
The Australian has selected Wasps playmaker Danny Cipriani for the first time, and has also brought in Hurricanes captain Brad Shields amid some controversy.
Jones also revealed the identity of England’s new backs/attack coach. Scott Wisemantel will join Jones’ coaching staff for the tour to South Africa as an attack consultant. The 48-year-old Australian was recently backs coach for Top 14 club Montpellier working with Jake White.
As if the appointment was permanent, Jones said:
“Not at this stage, just for the tour.”
England will play South Africa in three Tests in Johannesburg (9 June), Bloemfontein (16 June) and Cape Town (23 June).
