Danny Cipriani could be set to turn his back on English rugby and leave Wasps after just one season.
The playmaker returned to his former side this year following a stint with Sale Sharks and has been frustrated by Eddie Jones since he took over, unable to force his way into the Australians plans.
The outhalf could now be set to turn his back on English rugby completely with The Rugby Paper reporting that he is wanted by Mike Ford at French giants Toulon, who recently took over at the Top 14 side.
Jones indicated earlier this year that Cipriani would not be considered for England duty unless he improved. A move to France would make him ineligible for England duty entirely.
The Rugby Paper is also reporting that Wasps could ironically replace Cipriani with England’s first choice outhalf George Ford, son of Toulon coach Mike.
