Horrific stuff.
England and Wasps playmaker ended up out cold at the AJ Bell Stadium tonight as a result of a monster carry from Sale scrumhalf Faf de Klerk.
The South Africa scrumhalf bursted off the back of a scrum with Sale chasing a match-winning try, and ended up clashing full force with Cipriani in a sickening collision.
The game was delayed for almost 10 minutes as Cipriani received medical attention. The outhalf was stretchered off the pitch, but thankfully showed signs of movement, and will hopefully be ok.
As for the game itself, Sale snatched it with 91 minutes on the clock, with Marland Yarde scoring in the corner. A huge bonus-point win for the Sharks, but let’s hope Cipriani is ok.
