Cash money.
Dan Carter will arrive in Paris in the coming days as he gets set to join up with his former club Racing 92 as a medical joker until the end of the season.
The 36-year-old former World Player of the Year departed the French giants at the end of last season to take up a contract with Japanese club the Kobelco Steelers, who he helped to win the Top League title in his first season in Japan.
But with the unfortunate forced retirement of Springbok Pat Lambie through concussion, the Parisian side need to bring in some experience at ten – and they don’t come much more experienced than the former All Black.
They don’t come much cheaper either, with French paper L’Equipe reporting that Carter will earn a salary of between €20,0000 and €30,000 a month while back at Racing 92. And he will receive the same bonuses as regular season players if Racing win the Heineken European Champions Cup or French Top 14 titles.
Not bad at all.
