All Blacks legend Dan Carter has hailed Munster’s fans as “some of the best supporters in the world” following Racing 92’s win over the southern province yesterday.

Around 10,000 Munster fans made the trip to Bordeaux yesterday to watch their side battle it out for a spot in this year’s Champions Cup final in Bilbao.

Sadly it wasn’t to be, as Racing ran out 27-22 winners in the end. But the Munster fans didn’t let that get them down, with their voices heard throughout the game and long after the final whistle.

Carter was impressed.

“Proud of my Racing 92 brothers as we are on our way to Bilbao for the Champions Cup final. An amazing day but a shout out to the Munster fans who have to be some of the best supporters in the world,” He wrote in his post-match tweet.
