Wow.
Harlequins loosehead prop Joe Marler is set to retire from international rugby at just 28-years-old in a shock move according to multiple reports this afternoon.
The 2017 Lions tourist has been a key member of England’s set-up under Eddie Jones, and has represented his country on 58 occasions having made his debut back in 2012.
He recently however, pulled out of England’s training camp in Bristol and was replaced by Exeter’s Ben Moon.
Marler will continue to play for Harlequins in the Premiership and is reportedly citing personal reasons for his retirement from the international game.
