Conor O’Shea might be about to make enemies with Eddie Jones.
The new Italy boss is said to be scouring Europe for players that could potentially represent Italy and he appears to have scouted a real prospect. The former Harlequins is said to be scouting Saracens outhalf Alex Lozowski who is apparently eligible to play for the Azzuri, although through what means are yet to be identified.
The 23 year-old has been impressive in the Premiership this season filling in for the injured Owen Farrell and his merits have not gone unnoticed by England boss Eddie Jones.
He’s got talent. He might be a guy who comes through and makes the England squad. Everyone is chasing Saracens. A young 10 has come in and they haven’t missed a beat.
