Back in business.
Former Northampton Saints Director of Rugby Jim Mallinder is set to replace outgoing Cardiff Blues boss Danny Wilson at the end of the season.
WaleOnline are reporting that a deal is imminent, with Mallinder beating off a number of candidates for the role including former Ireland international, and current Leicester Tigers coach Geordan Murphy.
The report also suggests that Mallinder could end up bringing George North with him. North has signed a deal with the WRU ahead of next season. But is yet to decide which region he will play for.
North played under Mallinder for a number of seasons at Saints before he was sacked last December.
Mallinder was the longest-serving boss in the Premiership prior to his dismissal, and narrowly missed out on the England job before Eddie Jones was appointed as boss.
