Wales take on Michael Cheika’s Wallabies this Saturday at the Principality Stadium.
Interim head coach Rob Howley has named his Wales team following the temporary departure of Warren Gatland as he prepares to select his Lions team to head to New Zealand next summer.
Liam Williams has been ruled out with an injury, with Alex Cuthbert returning to the starting line-up. There’s also a return to the Welsh fold for Toulon and Lions star Leigh Halfpenny who starts at fullback for Howley’s side.
Former Lions prop Gethin Jenkins will captain the side against Australia in the absence of injured Sam Warburton and Alun Wyn Jones who misses the game on compassionate leave due to the untimely death of his father, while Ross Moriarty replaces the injured Taulupe Faletau in the back row.
Wales have named an all British and Irish Lions midfield with Jamie Roberts partnering Jonathan Davies in the centre. George North starts on the other wing.
