We didn’t see this coming.
After months of speculation Warren Gatland will name his British & Irish Lions squad at noon tomorrow live on Sky Sports.
At this stage we can probably nail down around 20-25 players who will can pretty much guarantee will tour this summer, but as for the remaining spots, it’s anyones guess really. Reports emerged yesterday that the likes of Jonathan Joseph and Joe Launchbury are set to miss out, but an even more shocking revelation has just come out in the last few minutes.
Sky Sports are reporting that Jamie Roberts is set to be a surprise inclusion when Gatland names his squad tomorrow. 30 year-old Roberts toured in 2009 and 2013, but has failed to find form in recent years.
Roberts failed to start any of Wales’ games at this years Six Nations but made a number of appearances from the bench, scoring a late try in the win over Ireland.
