Gloucester Rugby have revealed that Head Coach Laurie Fisher has left the club with immediate effect.
Fisher met with club officials over the past 48 hours and it was mutually agreed that he would leave his position.
The Premiership side have wished Fisher all the best, and will be making no further comments on the matter.
Gloucester Rugby would like to place on record its thanks for Laurie’s hard work and commitment during his time at the club, and would like to wish him well in his future endeavours.
The club will be making no further comment on the matter.
Fisher appeared to hand in his resignation on Saturday via Twitter after his side’s dramatic loss to Harlequins, ruling out any chance of a Champions Cup spot next year, with this announcement confirming he was dead serious.
Unbelievable capitulation. Clearly not good enough. My responsibility. Time to make room for someone else.
