The RFU have confirmed that Ant & Dec are the men to take England forward to Japan 2019 having signed a four-year deal as dual head coaches.*
England were branded the laughing stock of rugby following their group stage exit from the Rugby World Cup and the RFU have moved fast to snap up the dynamic duo who they hope will restore the integrity of the England brand.
Ian Ritchie, RFU CEO added, ”The Rugby World Cup was hugely disappointing for everyone associated with the England team and the subsequent review into the team’s performance was always intended to be extremely comprehensive, which it has been. We have moved fast to bring in some quality experience. Ant & Dec have been fantastic on the telly for many years and the switch to rugby shouldn’t be a problem for the two.”
