Back in camp.
Ireland have been boosted by the return of Munster starts Tadhg Beirne, Andrew Conway and Chris Farrell to Irish camp ahead of this weekend’s clash with Italy.
Conway was sent back to Munster ahead of the Scotland game with a niggle, but made a successful return to action against the Kings on Saturday. Farrell was forced off early in the same game but will train with Ireland this week.
Beirne is yet to feature in the Six Nations this year after being sidelined with a knee injury, and while he and Farrell will continue to be assessed – both have returned to Carton House with Ireland.
John Ryan and Niall Scannell have also returned to Ireland camp but CJ Stander will stay behind as he continues to recover from a facial injury picked up in the England game.
Meanwhile Dan Leavy will remain with Leinster as he continues to rehab a frustrating calf injury, while Rhys Ruddock has been ruled out of the trip to Rome with a hamstring problem.
