Leinster and Racing will meet in this year’s Champions Cup final, after both sides won their respective semi-final clashes against Scarlets and Munster in comfortable fashion.
Leo Cullen’s side made very light work of the Scarlets at the Aviva, scoring 5 tries in a 38-16 win. Racing meanwhile dispatched of Munster in Bordeaux in just over 20 minutes. Three quick tries in the opening quarter proved enough, despite a late Munster comeback, as the French giants came away with a 27-22 win.
Heading into the final though, Leinster are overwhelming favourites to lift their fourth European title. Among the expertly reviewed sportsbooks listed by Sports Betting Dime, Bet365 have Leinster at 1/3, while Racing can be got at 5/2.
Odds like that in a European final are absolutely crazy. Leinster are unbeaten in this year’s competition, and have looked completely dominant. But underestimate Racing at your own peril. The French side has got some real match winners in their squad, and will no doubt cause the Irish province problems.
Leinster are on course for number four. But Racing could very well end up with number one.
Who’s your money on?
