Following the draw for the 2027 Rugby World Cup, which will see England face Wales, Tonga and Zimbabwe, the bookmakers have slashed England’s odds from 6/1 to 4/1.
The favourites, reigning champions South Africa (5/2), have been drawn alongside Italy, Georgia, and Romania.
Three-time winners New Zealand are the second favourites at 7/2.
Ireland, who are yet to go beyond the quarter-final stages of the competition, can be backed at 10/1 to lift the famous Webb Ellis Cup.
Oddschecker spokesman Chris Rogers stated:
“England have been the favoured bet for punters this week with 51% of the total bets placed. Ireland (10/1) received the second highest number of bets with 13%, while the favourites South Africa were backed by 10% of bettors.
