Billy Vunipola’s Frustration Shines Through In Poignant Post

“This one’s cut me.”

Billy Vunipola’s injury nightmare continued yesterday when it was confirmed he had broken his arm for the THIRD time in less than 12 months, sidelining him for three months.

The England and Saracens number eight broke his right arm twice last season, before breaking his left arm in Sarries’s Champions Cup win over Glasgow Warriors on Sunday.

Before that Vunipola battled with knee and shoulder problems in a career that has been blighted by injury. He was forced to miss the 2017 British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand and has missed most of England’s last three Six Nations campaigns.

In a poignant message posted on Instagram, the 25-year-old says this injury has really “cut” him, but promised to be back. He says he won’t be back “bigger”, he won’t be back “better”, but he’ll be back nonetheless.
