We reported yesterday that the WRU have withdrawn their dual contract offer for centre Scott Williams.
The WRU, with the full backing of Warren Gatland, ended negotiations after not being party to an extraordinary battle for the Wales centre’s signature between the Ospreys and Scarlets.
Reports have now surfaced today that Wasps have joined the race for his signature and want to bring the Welsh star to the Ricoh Arena. Wasps boss Dai Young is reportedly also trying to lure Leigh Halfpenny to London, attempting a double swoop of Welsh international stars.
Warren Gatland won’t be happy. Looks like he will be looking for a few extra wildcards off the WRU this Christmas.
