“You’d expect him to be all seriousness all the time.”
Anthony Watson recently sat down with Ugo Moyne and Chris Jones on the BBC Radio 5 Live podcast to discuss all things rugby. The Bath and England winger previewed the new season, and chatted about this summer’s Lions tour.
One of the questions put to him was which Lions teammate surprised him the most on tour. Turns out it was Welshman Dan Biggar…
“Dan Biggar was definitely one who surprised me a bit”
“Just being a 10, you’d expect him to be all seriousness all the time. But he was a real good lad, he was always cracking jokes on and off the training field which was pretty cool.
As for the player who didn’t surprise him… Scotland winger Tommy Seymour.
“Some who didn’t surprise me was Tommy Seymour!”
“He was exactly what I expected…. dark soul!”
