Wow.
Leinster and Ireland prop Andrew Porter has had one hell of a season last year all things considered.
Having made the incredibly difficult switch from loosehead to tighthead, the 22-year-old got his first real taste of senior action last year, and boy did he take it.
The youngster burst on the provincial scene while Tadhg Furlong was on international duty back in November 2017, with his performances impressing Joe Schmidt so much, he brought him into his Six Nations squad.
The rest as they say is history – with Porter playing a key role for club and country, ending the season with Six Nations Grand Slam, Champions Cup and PRO14 medals.
He’s also an absolute freak of nature in the gym. Johnny Waterson in The Irish Times claims the youngster can squat a whopping 350kg.
“Noted for his strength, Porter, if the figure doing the rounds is accurate, can squat 350kg (772lb) or, if you like, three Cian Healys. Quite an effective mass of cleaning-out power.”
That’s some serious tin.
