North vs South.
All Blacks legend Aaron Smith has had a go at picking his ‘Ultimate Northern Hemisphere’ backline with the scrumhalf picking Ireland captain Johnny Sexton as his outhalf.
The 97-times capped New Zealand veteran took on former England and Lions winger Ugo Monye in a brilliant video for World Rugby, with both picking backlines from each other’s hemispheres.
Smith has Owen Farrell interestingly at 12 with his England teammate Manu Tuilagi alongside him in midfield. Leigh Halfpenny, Elliot Daly and Louis Rees-Zammit make up the back-three with Antoine Dupont at nine.
Monye meanwhile has Beauden Barrett at fullback, along with Smith himself at nine and Richie Mo’unga at ten. Check out both backlines below. Which team do you think would win?
