It was reported last week that Ian Keatley was close to finalising a deal with French side Bayonne.
The playmaker has slipped down in the pecking order under Rassie Erasmus, limited to the bench for most of the season thanks to the exploits of Tyler Bleyendall, who has been in excellent form for the southern province.
Keatley is way down in the pecking order when it comes to Ireland selection and with JJ Hanrahan in talks to move back to Munster, a move away seems inevitable for the former Connacht man.
It now appears Grenoble are also interested in luring the back to France next summer according to regional French newspaper Le Dauphine. Grenoble already have a strong Irish contingent at the club with Bernard Jackman and Mike Prendergast making up their coaching team.
It seems Keatley’s days with Munster are numbered, but his destination is far from certain.
