Jonah Lomu will forever be known as the man who brought the game out of the amateur era and into the professional environment we know today.
What was so remarkable about Lomu was his speed combined with his enormous size. No back in the game had ever possessed such power, size and strength. Lomu wrote himself into rugby history at the 1995 Rugby World Cup, just a year after he became the youngest ever player to pull on a New Zealand jersey.
This graph, as posted by economist.com, illustrates exactly how far ahead of his time Lomu truly was.
