Spectacle.
Ticket sales for Leinster and Munster’s United Rugby Championship clash in Croke Park have already hit astronomical heights with sales increasing every day.
Organisers have revealed that over 55,000 tickets have already been sold for the clash in Round 4, which takes place on Saturday, October 12.
With the RDS currently undergoing redevelopment, Leinster will play the bulk of their fixtures this season at the Aviva Stadium, with an agreement reached with Croke Park to stage some of their biggest fixtures.
Over 50,000 attended when the two sides met at the Aviva Stadium last year with this year’s fixture set to dwarf that.
The capacity of Croke Park is over 82,000 and there’s hope that the game will sell out and mirror the last time the two teams met in the iconic stadium for the 2009 Heineken Cup semi-final.
