Wanted man.
Ronan O’Gara is set to offer former Munster and Ireland second-row Donnach Ryan a coaching role at La Rochelle, according to a report in the Irish Examiner.
The 37-year-old is out of contract with the Parisian side at the end of the season and will have to look elsewhere if he decides to continue his playing career.
O’Gara and Ryan know each other well having played alongside each other for both Munster and Ireland and is being eyed up for a forwards/lineout role with this year’s Champions Cup finalists.
The report adds that Ryan is receptive to the role but may look to continue to playing for another season, possibly in the PRO D2 but an opportunity to begin a new career alongside his former teammate may be too good to turn down.
