RTE’s Against the Head panel had a go at picking their British and Irish Lions XV to take on the world champion Springboks this summer – with no fewer than four Irish players making their selection.
The panel, which featured former Ireland captain Donal Lenihan, former Ireland head coach Eddie O’Sullivan and former Leinster and Ireland hooker Bernard Jackman, picked Tadhg Furlong, Tadhg Beirne, Johnny Sexton and Robbie Henshaw in their starting team.
Elsewhere, they’ve also gone with four English players including out-of-form Owen Farrell and lock Maro Itoje, six Welshmen including Alun Wyn Jones, Liam Williams and youngster Louis Rees-Zammit.
