Former Ireland Boss Eddie O’Sullivan Absolutely Savages Scotland With Post-Match Comments

Delusional.

Former Ireland head coach Eddie O’Sullivan did not hold back in his assessment of Scotland following their 31-16 defeat to Ireland yesterday in the Autumn Nations Cup.

Many Scots felt they could come away with a win in Dublin yesterday given Ireland’s recent form but it was not to be with Andy Farrell’s side running out comfortable winners in the end.

Despite this, Scotland captain Stuart Hogg told RTÉ after the game that he felt his team were on track to achieve ‘something special’.

But Eddie O’Sullivan was having none of it, labelling Scotland as ‘delusional’ given their record.

“We’ve seen all this before. They always talk themselves up, they always talk a great game,” O’Sullivan said.

They have some deluded notion that they are better than they are.

“I’m not being harsh. These guys haven’t won here in ten years, they’ve won three times against Ireland in nearly 20 years.

“It’s just deluded. They talk themselves up, they come in, and then they implode. We have seen this time and time again.

“He (Stuart Hogg) says ‘we are onto something special’?”
