Bash brothers.
Munster look set to unleash a 33-stone midfield partnership on Leinster this weekend with World Cup winner Damien de Allende set to line out alongside Ireland international Chris Farrell in the centre.
Standing at 6ft 2in and weighing in at a just under 16 stone, De Allende will add some serious punch to Munster’s backline with Chris Farrell, not exactly a small man himself.
Farrell is just under 6ft 3in tall and comes in at over 17 stone. Both men are also known for being incredibly skilful and could become one of the most menacing centre partnerships in Europe.
Speaking to the media today, Munster head coach Johann van Graan confirmed both de Allende and Snyman will be available for selection this weekend.
“They are available for selection,” Van Graan said via a video press conference today.
“We still have a few training sessions left this week. Obviously we didn’t have all of the training sessions last week.
“Like all other players, if they come through the training sessions this week, then both of them will be eligible for selection for Saturday evening.”
Farrell meanwhile may have let it slip he’d be partnering de Allende this weekend when he told us he was “looking forward” to coming up against Ireland teammates Robbie Henshaw and Garry Ringrose this weekend with the Springbok alongside him.
