Ireland will likely be without Garry Ringrose for at least the next three weeks – ruling him out of their Six Nations games with Wales and England.
The Leinster centre picked up a suspected broken finger in yesterday’s win over Scotland, according to The42 with provincial teammate Robbie Henshaw replacing him at half-time.
Ringrose has been in excellent form for Leinster this season and was one of Ireland’s few players that performed at the World Cup in Japan. While Henshaw and Aki are an excellent midfield combo, Ringrose’s spark and creativity will be missed.
Ireland will be hoping they can get Ringrose back for their trip to Paris to take on France next month – providing there is still something to play for come the 14th of March.
Meanwhile, Dave Kilcoyne and Caelan Doris will both need to go through the return-to-play protocols for concussion ahead of the Wales game, while Tadhg Furlong reported some calf tightness.
Ireland are due to deliver an official medical update tomorrow afternoon with no other serious injury updates expected as things stand.
