Worrying.
Ireland boss Andy Farrell has revealed that centre Garry Ringrose picked up a hand injury in this afternoon’s win against Scotland which resulted in him failing to return for the second half.
Provincial teammate Robbie Henshaw replaced him with Ireland refusing to comment on Ringrose’s injury until after the game according to commentary.
That ominous report had Irish fans worried and Farrell did little to allay those fears with the Ireland boss giving a brief update on his condition.
Farrell admitted he had a hand injury but couldn’t say anymore.
“He’s got a hand injury,” Farrell told Virgin Media.
“We’ll have to get scans on that and see how we go.”
Should Ringrose miss out against Wales next week, Henshaw will likely start midfield alongside Aki.
Number eight Caelan Doris and prop Dave Kilcoyne are also doubts for next week after both players were taken off with nasty head bangs.
