Player Ratings As Ireland Edge Past Scotland In Close-Fought Six Nations Battle

Job done.

Ireland opened up their 2020 Six Nations account with a hard-fought 19-12 win over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon.

New boss Andy Farrell will be delighted to have gotten off to a winning start with the men in green showing some great character, particularly in defence, to hold Scotland out in the end.

Captain Johnny Sexton bagged the only try of the game thanks to lovely pre-planned move but Scotland captain Stuart Hogg will be devasted with his horror knock-on that cost Scotland a try of their own.

Here are your player ratings.
