Clive Woodward Says Only One Team At The World Cup Can Defeat The All Blacks

All Blacks.

Clive Woodward reckons England are the only team at the World Cup capable of beating reigning champions New Zealand as the pool stages of the tournament get set to come to an end.

England have already secured their place in the quarter-finals but still have a game to come against France to decide who tops their pool.

The World Cup-winning coach also reckons the four semi-finalists this year will be England, New Zealand, Wales and South Africa, with the likes of Ireland and Australia set to miss out.

“The World Cup is just over two weeks old and from what I have seen so far the only team capable of beating holders and favourites New Zealand is England,” Woodward wrote in his Daily Mail column.

“The pools aren’t fully played out yet but I’m seeing England, New Zealand, Wales and South Africa as the four semi-finalists and if my crystal ball gazing is correct that would mean a semi-final between England and the All Blacks.”

“The likely quarter-finalists at this stage of the tournament are England and France (who have both already qualified), Wales and Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, then two from Japan, Ireland and Scotland.

“For that to happen though England must beat France.”

What do you think? Can England beat New Zealand? Can any other teams in the competition beat them?
