Doubt
Ireland have provided an update on the fitness of fullback Rob Kearney ahead of their World Cup opener with Scotland on Sunday after it emerged he hurt his calf in training.
They have confirmed he is indeed suffering from calf tightness but have refused to rule him out of Sunday’s game. Kearney will not train with Ireland today but it is hoped he will be back in training tomorrow.
Ireland are already without Robbie Henshaw for the game, with Keith Earls also a major doubt.
Elsewhere there are no other injury concerns with Joey Carbery back in full training and in line to make his return against Scotland.
