Record-breaker.
Ireland this afternoon named their team for this weekend’s World Cup warm-up clash with Wales at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, with a number of key players returning.
Johnny Sexton steps in at 10 for his first game of the series, with Robbie Henshaw also making his warm-up bow after recovering from injury. Keith Earls is another man back fit and raring to go with the Munster winger beating a personal record in training this week.
The 31-year-old clocked his highest speed score in training, which bodes well for both him and Ireland as he gets set to make his long-awaited return.
“He hit his highest speed score today in training as he was going to score a try in the corner which has delighted us all.” Andy Farrell said today at the team announcement.
