It Turns Out Gareth Anscombe’s Injury Is Even Worse Than Originally Thought

Bad one.

Wales were dealt absolutely massive blow this week with first choice outhalf Gareth Anscombe ruled out of the entire World Cup after picking up an injury in the defeat to England on Sunday.

Anscombe picked up an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, with Dan Biggar replacing him in the first-half. A full prognosis was due and now it appears that has come through with Warren Gatland revealing the injury is even worse than initially feared.

The Wales head coach has revealed that Anscombe not only injured his ACL but damaged the meniscus in his knee also. He will need surgery and looks set to miss the entire season. Awful news for him, Wales and his new club Ospreys.
