England international scrumhalf Dan Robson has been rocked by the news that his playing career has been put on hold after tests revealed he is suffering with “blood clots.”
Robson was left out of England’s squad for their final Six Nations clash with Scotland at Twickenham later today, a week after scoring his first try for his country against Italy.
Earlier in the week Robson underwent medical checks with Wasps and England Rugby both confirming he suffered “blood clots which arose spontaneously earlier this week.”
“Dan Robson suffered blood clots which arose spontaneously earlier this week and is being evaluated and treated by specialists at the moment.” an England statement read
“At this stage it is too early to give a return to play date.”
The devastated Robson tweeted the following message.
