France head coach Jacques Brunel named an unchanged team to face Ireland in the Six Nations on Sunday afternoon.
In doing so Brunel keeps the faith in young halfbacks Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack who are just 19 and 22 respectively after they impressed in the 27-10 bonus-point win over Scotland in Paris a fortnight ago.
Once again there’s no room in the squad for veteran halfbacks Morgan Parra and Camille Lopez after their public fallout with Brunel.
“The context will be different and I hope our pack will put the halfbacks in good conditions,” Brunel told a news conference on Tuesday.
“We work on this every week,”
“The Irish know how to put you under pressure with high kicks, notably with Murray, we worked on this specifically.”
Joe Schmidt will name his Ireland team on Friday at lunchtime.
France: Thomas Ramos; Damian Penaud, Mathieu Bastareaud, Gael Fickou, Yoann Huget; Romain Ntamack, Antoine Dupont; Jefferson Poirot, Guilhem Guirado (capt), Demba Bamba; Sebastien Vahaamahina, Felix Lambey; Wenceslas Lauret, Arthur Iturria, Louis Picamoles.
Replacements: Camille Chat, Etienne Falgoux, Dorian Aldegheri, Paul Willemse, Gregory Alldritt, Baptiste Serin, Anthony Belleau, Maxime Medard.
