Up north.
Ulster Rugby are hoping to push through a move for Leinster prop Jack McGrath ahead of next season after the Lions loosehead requested a move due to lack of game time.
The proposed transfer was first reported by the Irish Independent yesterday, and now Murray Kinsella of The42.ie has suggested while a contract has not yet been signed and sealed, a move looks likely.
McGrath has started just one Champions Cup game for Leinster this season as well as 6 PRO14 games, resulting in Munster’s David Kilcoyne usurping him as deputy to Cian Healy with Ireland.
The prop reportedly initiated the conversation about a possible move, with the IRFU willingly facilitating the discussions with Ulster, a process made easier by the fact that he is centrally contracted. Exciting times for Ulster Rugby who have looked much improved under Dan McFarland.
