Game time.
Ireland and Lions loosehead prop Jack McGrath looks set to be the latest big name to leave Leinster in search of more game time, with the 29-year-old in “advanced talks” to join Ulster according to a report in the Irish Independent.
The report says McGrath himself instigated the move, and could join the northern province this summer despite having another year to run on his deal, although it is a national contract making an early release much easier.
Ulster are in desperate need of a front-row and could field an Ireland international trio of McGrath, Rory Best and Marty Moore next season if a deal is completed.
Ulster have already added Worcester’s Irish-qualified South African prop Gareth Milasinovic to their ranks for next season, but the signing of McGrath would be huge for the province.
