What the hell.
Ireland’s chances of retaining their Six Nations title were handed a massive boost today with Wales defeating England and denying Eddie Jones’ men a losing bonus-point in Cardiff.
Schmidt’s men will take on Italy tomorrow with nothing less than a comprehensive bonus-point win needed to stay in the hunt and recover from a bad start against England in Round One.
The men in green were in Roma today ahead of tomorrow’s game and got a rather bizarre escort while in the city from a rather erratic police driver who looks like he belongs in an episode of Father Ted.

A video of the Irish team on the bus in stitches as the bonkers policeman drives all over the shop and throws out some of the best hand signals you’re likely to see.
Prop Dave Kilcoyne also posted this video on Instagram stories from the back of the bus with some more excellent footage of the complete and utter lunatic.
