The best of the best.
World Rugby recently ran a poll on their Instagram to pick a Six Nations Dream Team and the end result was downright awful. So we’ve decided to step in and come up with one of our own that we feel is more accurate.
Starting with the backline we’ve gone with Hogg, Daly and Stockdale in our back three. Daly might be playing at fifteen for England this weekend, but there’s no way we can leave a player of his talent out and he’s played plenty of Test games on the wing.
In the centre we didn’t want to leave Owen Farrell out so we’ve give him a slot at 12 alongside Ireland’s Garry Ringrose, with Sexton and Murray at halfback. Jonathan Davies is perhaps unlucky to miss out.
For the pack – the World Rugby Dream Team left Tadhg Furlong out so that’s all you need to know about that. Meanwhile we’ve got the Ireland tighthead in a front-row alongside Cian Healy and France captain Guilhem Guirado who is an absolute beast.
In the engine room we’ve picked James Ryan and Alun Wyn Jones – a formidable second-row combination. And finally in the back-row, perhaps the most competitive area of them all, we’ve gone with O’Mahony, Tipuric and Billy Vunipola, who just edges out CJ Stander.
