Not good.
Leinster outhalf Johnny Sexton has emerged as a major injury doubt for this weekend’s crucial Champions Cup pool clash against Toulouse at the RDS Arena in Dublin.
The 2018 World Player of the Year has not trained since sustaining a lower leg injury in the loss to rivals Munster in Thomond Park a couple of weeks ago.
He’s now 50/50 for the game against Toulouse and will not train with the Leinster squad this afternoon. Ross Byrne will instead stand in at ten as the defending champions sweat on the fitness of their star man.
The Toulouse game is a must win for Leinster having lost the return fixture. The winner of this weekend’s game will likely top the group and with that earn a home quarter final.
Meanwhile there is some good news for Leinster fans with Robbie Henshaw set to train this week. Should he hit his markers he could be in contention for a place this weekend.
