Leinster fullback Rob Kearney is a major fitness doubt for Ireland’s upcoming Guinness Series in Dublin next month.
The 32-year-old picked up a shoulder injury in Saturday’s PRO14 win over Benetton Treviso, forcing him off early in the second-half after taking a heavy blow.
Leinster today confirmed that the fullback “will be further assessed by the IRFU medics this week.”
As it stand it looks like he will miss out on the Argentina game, but could return in time for the All Blacks’ visit to Dublin. Munster’s Andrew Conway is in line to replace him should he not recover in time.
