Pat Lam wants to bring former All Blacks flanker Victor Vito to the Gallagher Premiership with Bristol according to a report by French publication Midi Olympique.
The World Cup winning All Black is out of contract with La Rochelle in the summer, with the French side reportedly anticipating his departure having failed to agree on a new deal.
Vito would be a direct replacement for current Bristol captain Steven Luatua – who is believed to be contemplating a return to New Zealand in order to reignite his international career in time for the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
While Bristol would be devastated to lose Luatua – we can think of worse replacements than Victor Vito!
