Nasty.
Bath centre Jamie Roberts is set to be out of action for the next 4-6 weeks after fracturing his cheekbone in Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership win over former club Harlequins at the stoop.
The former Cardiff Blues man was in the second-half after picking up what appeared to be a nasty eye injury. Roberts uploaded a photo to social media the next day with his eye almost completely shut and swollen like a balloon.
“Enjoyable day and win at the Stoop yesterday against some old friends. Picked up a nice souvenir too. Lovely,” Roberts said when posted the photo.
The injury means Roberts will miss Bath’s Champions Cup fixtures against Toulouse and Wasps next month, as well as a number of crucial Premiership fixtures.
